12 Stunning Tiger Pattern Houseplants

Written by Emily Belkoff

Who knew plants could have such cool patterns? I certainly didn’t until I stumbled upon tiger stripe houseplants. Now, I’m hooked!

These plants are perfect for adding a touch of wild to any room.

1. Tiger Senkoi (Tiger Stripe Kenoi)

Distinctive Features

The Tiger Senkoi, also known as Tiger Stripe Kenoi, is a real showstopper in my living room. Its egg-shaped pale green leaves are adorned with purple or maroon streaks, reminiscent of a tiger’s coat. During summer, it treats us to small purple-green flowers, adding an extra pop of color to our space.

2. Silver Squill (Hin)

Unique Characteristics

I’ve placed my Silver Squill, or Hin, in a spot that gets both sun and shade. Its silver leaves, variegated with green splotches, catch the light beautifully. It’s become a conversation starter whenever we have guests over!

3. Tiger Fern

Aesthetic Appeal

Hanging in our kitchen, the Tiger Fern is a true charmer. Its cascading fronds of yellow-green foliage create a waterfall effect that’s simply mesmerizing. It’s the perfect plant for adding some drama to any room.

4. Elephander Tiger

Standout Features

Also known as the zebra plant, the Elephander Tiger’s claim to fame is its distinct tiger pattern stem. It’s like having a miniature jungle right on our windowsill!

5. Tiger Jade

Visual Characteristics

This cute succulent has stolen my heart with its small, shield-shaped gray-green leaves. The contrasting dark blue-green spots and purple undersides give it a unique tiger-like appearance. It’s small enough to fit on my desk, adding a touch of nature to my workspace.

6. Tiger Aloe

Striking Appearance

In my opinion, the Tiger Aloe is one of the prettiest aloes out there. Its small, sword-shaped fleshy foliage sports beautiful white tiger-like stripes on green leaves. It’s a low-maintenance plant that packs a big visual punch.

7. Tiger Stripe Mother of Thousands

Unique Propagation

This fascinating plant never fails to amaze my kids. Tiny plants grow from the edges of the leaves, looking like miniature replicas of the adult plant. The striking tiger-like stripes on the leaves make it a true conversation piece.

8. Tiger Cryptanthus

Distinctive Pattern

The Tiger Cryptanthus is a stunning rosette-forming plant that sits pretty on our coffee table. Its wavy mid-green leaves feature irregular white crossbands, creating a mesmerizing mix of zebra and tiger patterns.

9. Silver Vase Plant (Ear Plant)

Attractive Features

Our Silver Vase Plant, also known as the Ear Plant, is a real attention-grabber. Its leathery arched leaves are patterned in silver and sea-green streaks. When it blooms, the pink flower bracts and blue blossoms create a stunning contrast.

10. Gingerland

Unique Leaf Design

Gingerland has quickly become one of my favorites. Its heart-shaped creamy white leaves have a green margin and are decorated with pink or red splotches that resemble tiger skin patterns. It adds a tropical touch to our bedroom.

11. White Tiger Calathea

Characteristics

Similar to the White Fusion, the White Tiger Calathea can be a bit fussy to grow. However, I find that the extra effort is totally worth it. Its striking foliage never fails to catch the eye of anyone who enters our home.

12. Tiger Shark Snake Plant

Distinctive Look

Last but not least, our Tiger Shark Snake Plant is a compact variety that fits perfectly on our bookshelf. Its silver-green leaves feature a dark green strip that gives the illusion of a tiger skin-like pattern. It’s a low-maintenance plant that adds a touch of elegance to any room.
