Written by Emily Belkoff

Snake plants with flowers? No way! That’s what I thought until I caught mine blooming. Now I’m obsessed with finding more.

Join me as I share 13 snake plants that can add unexpected color to your home.

13 Beautiful Flowering Snake Plants

1. Sansevieria Kirki ‘Star Sansevieria’

This beauty has been my constant companion for years. With its long, dark green leaves, it’s already a stunner. But when it decides to bloom? Oh my! Large conical flowers in white or pale pink appear, filling the room with a refreshing fragrance. It’s like a little celebration in a pot.

2. Sansevieria Biserrata

Don’t let its petite size fool you. Standing at just 12 to 16 inches tall, this little charmer packs a punch. Come summer, it bursts into white blooms that are truly a sight for sore eyes. It’s perfect for that small space on your desk or bookshelf.

3. Sansevieria Parva ‘Kia Hyacinth’

I love how this plant forms a beautiful rosette with its light green narrow leaves. When it’s happy (and trust me, I’ve learned its love language), it rewards you with delightful pink-white blooms. It’s like getting a thank-you note from Mother Nature herself.

4. Sansevieria Eilensis ‘Shaan’

This drought-tolerant variety has been my go-to gift for forgetful friends. Its blue-green foliage is already eye-catching, but give it bright light, and it’ll surprise you with spiky white flowers. It’s like watching fireworks in slow motion.

5. Sansevieria Cylindrica ‘Boncel’

If you’re into quirky shapes like I am, you’ll adore this one. Its tubular gray-green spikes are a conversation starter on their own. But when it blooms with pink-white flowers? They absolutely steal the show. It’s my living room’s very own sculpture gallery.

6. Sansevieria Bacularis

This plant has been my faithful companion through many seasons. Its dark green leaves with soft tips are soothing to look at. But come spring, it puts on a spectacular show with yellow-white blooms that can reach 2 to 3 feet tall! It’s like having a miniature fireworks display right in your home.

7. Sansevieria Trifasciata

There’s a reason this is a crowd favorite. Its dark green leaves are classic, but the lily-like white or cream blooms? They’re the icing on the cake. It’s been my go-to housewarming gift for years.

8. Sansevieria ‘Zebra Gem Silver’

This plant is like that stylish friend who always looks put-together. Its lance-like leaves with silver, gray, and green stripes are already a work of art. Add tall spikes of white blooms in summer, and you’ve got yourself a botanical masterpiece.

9. Sansevieria Trifasciata ‘Hahnii’

This compact cutie has been my bedroom companion for years. Its green, white, or yellow blooms carry an intense fragrance that’s better than any air freshener. Just give it bright indirect light, and it’ll perfume your nights.

10. Sansevieria Cylindrica

With its stiff green leaves, this plant looks like it means business. But when it blooms with clusters of green-white, fragrant blossoms, you see its softer side. It’s like discovering your stern teacher has a great sense of humor.

11. Sansevieria ‘Moonshine’

The name says it all. When this plant blooms with its fragrant white flowers, it’s a real showstopper. It’s been the star of many of my Instagram posts, always stealing the limelight from my other plants.

12. Sansevieria ‘Black Coral’

This plant is for those who appreciate contrasts. Its dark leaves set the stage for small clusters of fragrant white blooms. It’s like watching stars twinkle in a night sky.

13. Sansevieria Stuckyi

Last but not least, this unique plant has been my night owl companion. Its unusual long leaves are intriguing, but the real magic happens at night. That’s when it unfurls its white-pink blooms, filling the air with an intense fragrance. It’s like having a nocturnal air freshener.
